The Federation of Bhangra (FOB) was founded in 2011 in Melbourne, Australia. FOB fuses the traditional folk dance of Punjab, Bhangra, with contemporary Punjabi and Western music.
The aim of FOB is to not only bring entertainment to their audience but to promote the Indian culture within the Australian community. We believe Bhangra is an energetic, colourful and exciting medium which can be used to bridge gaps between the Indian and Australian cultures. We use Bhangra to unify our Australian and Indian identities and create our mark as Australian Indians.
