Anna Lee has built the Anna Lee School of Dance into Christchurch's go-to spot for dance. With studios in Sawyers Arms Road, Papanui, as well as Halswell, Lincoln, and Ladbrooks, students from all over have a place to dance. They cover styles like Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary, plus Stretch, Conditioning, Fitness classes, and even preschool sessions. New for 2023, they’re adding Musical Theatre and Lyrical Dance to the mix.

Throughout the year, students get to show off their skills in Medal Award performances, Examinations, and the End of Year Recital. The school teaches the Royal Academy Ballet (RAD) syllabus and the Asia Pacific Dance Association (APDA) syllabus for Jazz and Contemporary Ballet, with Medal Awards available through the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD). Private coaching is also available for those looking to compete or excel in exams.
