Looking for a welcoming spot to sail in Fareham? Hill Head Sailing Club, right on the Solent, offers just that. As an RYA Training Centre and Onboard Access Centre, it’s your go-to place for getting started with sailing or any watersport.

Whether you're an experienced sailor or just getting started, Paul Green, the organiser, ensures there's something for everyone. From an active dinghy racing programme to recreational sailing and coached confidence sessions, you're covered.

Located at Cliff Road in Hill Head, the club boasts stunning views and ideal sailing conditions. There's always a chance to socialise too, with regular events bringing members together. Their New Members evening every third Wednesday is perfect for newcomers to check out the club and meet the team.

One highlight is the SLOSHH (Solent Long Sail Handicap) Race. Safety’s a priority, so the race may be postponed if the weather’s not playing ball. Then there’s Dinghy Week, a five-day event packed with daily races and recreational sailing, ending with a prize ceremony and BBQ.

Hill Head Sailing Club doesn’t just stop at offering a place to sail. They run various training courses, whether you’re a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills. They also offer RYA Powerboating and Stand Up Paddleboarding tasters. Don’t own a boat? No problem, you can hire club boats too.
