Ann Carroll, the organiser at Lotusbud Yoga & Massage in Cheltenham, invites the sports community to experience a range of yoga and massage options designed to support everyone, especially expectant mothers. Ann set up this small, welcoming studio with the belief that yoga can be a haven of relaxation during the challenging times brought by pregnancy.
The name Lotusbud is inspired by the Lotus flower, symbolising beauty and light emerging from the roots of adversity. In Buddhism, it also represents staying grounded and finding balance.
As a seasoned instructor and massage therapist, Ann has been helping clients for years. Her bespoke massage treatments focus on relaxation, stress relief, and injury recovery, and many appreciate her tailored approach to assisted stretching, aligned with their yoga practice. Ann's experience allows her to adjust treatments to each individual's needs, fostering a feeling of well-being.
Lotusbud Yoga also offers pregnancy yoga classes. Ann is keen to have a chat with potential participants to discuss their needs and see if the classes are right for them. These 75-minute classes take place at Ann's home in Cheltenham, with two evening sessions available on Wednesdays.
For those interested, a 4-week block of pregnancy yoga classes is £60, offering great value for expectant mothers. Massage treatments can be booked for £60 for 60 minutes or £85 for 90 minutes. There’s also a 3-session block available for £160.
Ann's commitment to yoga and massage therapy is clear from her extensive training and practice. With 25 years in yoga and Shiatsu, she has also studied Thai massage in Thailand and is now exploring Osteothai. This journey has been one of self-discovery and personal growth, bringing deep alignment to her life.
