Welcome to the Ludlow Castle Croquet Club, a section of the Ludlow Castle Tennis Club located in Ludlow, New Zealand. The club boasts two large lawns, both of which can be divided in two to accommodate more players. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, we warmly welcome players of all abilities.
Club sessions take place on Mondays at 2:00pm, Thursdays at 10:30am, and Sundays at 2:00pm. Members can look forward to regular social tournaments for both themselves and their guests. We believe in fostering a sense of community and camaraderie within our club.
New members are always welcome at the Ludlow Castle Croquet Club. To make it even easier for new players to get involved, we offer free taster sessions throughout the playing season and provide coaching for both new and existing members. With the support of the Croquet Association, the Mid-Counties Co-op, and the Ludlow Town Council, we have been able to develop the club and maintain its present healthy state.

Membership fees at the Ludlow Castle Croquet Club are currently 65 per season for full members. Country members and students aged 25 and under enjoy a half-price membership. Potential members are also welcome to play twice without charge to see if they would like to join. Please note that our season runs from April 9th, 2023, and ends when the lawns become unplayable.
Guests are welcome to play at our club for three sessions at a cost of 4 per session. After that, they must become members to continue playing. If you're planning a group outing, parties of four can play together in the morning, afternoon, or evening for a fee of 20.
To ensure the smooth operation of our club, we have a dedicated Committee that manages club affairs and arranges for the lawns to be prepared for play. Improvements to the lawns are made as funds permit. The committee is elected by club members at the Annual General Meeting, and the Committee for 2023 consists of David White as Chairman, Mike Coulson as Secretary, David Rowse as Treasurer, and Jane Dickinson as Membership Liaison. Additional committee members include John Nash, Mark Delaney, Liz Binch, Diana Marten, Bob Purcell, John Aitken, and David Rowse, who fulfil other responsibilities such as Association Croquet Coaching, Golf Croquet Coaching, and Lawns.

To find us, you can input SY8 1EE into your mobile phone or SatNav, or simply search for “Ludlow Castle Croquet Club. ” However, please note that this will not lead you directly to the car park. Instead, follow the provided instructions based on your approach to Ludlow. If you're coming from Dinham Bridge, continue past the Playground/Boating car park and take the next left turn, leading to the entrance of the Ludlow Rugby Football Club.
From there, turn right into the Tennis and Bowling Club car park. If you're approaching from Corve Street, turn into the Linney and follow the road around sharp left, right, and left bends, and then up the hill to a right-hand bend. The Rugby Club entrance will be on your right as you go back down the hill.
