Welcome to Marrickville District Hardcourts Tennis Club! We have been serving the community since 1955 and have become a beloved destination for both tennis enthusiasts and lovers of authentic Portuguese cuisine.
Our club is home to seven synthetic grass courts with lights, making it perfect for day and night play. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, our club offers various tennis programmes and activities to suit all skill levels. You can join social tennis sessions on a daily basis or book a court for private use with your hitting partner.
If you're looking to improve your game, we partner with Four Seasons for group and private coaching sessions. Their experienced coaches will help you take your tennis skills to the next level.
Becoming a member has its perks! For just $12 per calendar year, you'll receive reduced court hire rates, discounted rates with our physio, and an invitation to the kids' Christmas party. It's a great way to fully enjoy all that our club has to offer.
Located at 33 Centennial St, Marrickville NSW 2204, our club operates with the support of the Inner West Council and Tennis NSW, ensuring a well-maintained facility and a vibrant tennis community.
In addition to our tennis facilities, we are also home to Casa Do Benfica, our Portuguese restaurant. The restaurant offers a cosy neighbourhood bar where you can enjoy a drink from our selection of local and Portuguese wines, tap beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Casa Do Benfica is known for its home-style Portuguese cooking, with a menu that features a variety of rice, potatoes, bread, meat, seafood, and fish dishes. We also offer a full set menu for larger groups and cater for functions, birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations.
The restaurant is closed from Christmas Day until Wednesday, 17th January 2024, but we invite you to make a booking now for a delightful dining experience upon our reopening.
