Noverton Farm, located in Cheltenham, is a horse riding school and farm that focuses on the practise of Passive Horsemanship, a gentle and empathetic approach to equitation. The farm is owned and operated by Brian Sinnett, a seasoned horseman with over 70 years of experience in working with horses and cattle.
Sinnett comes from a family of horsemen and has been surrounded by horses his entire life. His extensive experience includes starting, training, and dealing with problem horses, as well as training for competition and developing highly functional and adaptable working horses for agricultural tasks. Throughout his life, Sinnett has travelled extensively throughout the USA and Canada, continuously learning and expanding his knowledge in the field of horsemanship.
At Noverton Farm, Sinnett teaches and practises his unique form of Passive Horsemanship, which he has developed over the past 30 years. This approach focuses on the mental and physical well-being of the horse, promoting trust and natural movement through passive invitation. Sinnett believes that horses trust in the fairness of human control and do not understand concepts of pity or guilt.
The school offers a range of Western riding lessons, tutorials, and trail rides for individuals and groups. They hold a licence (No: 22/01730/Horses) and provide both group and one-on-one lessons. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced rider seeking to improve your skills, Noverton Farm has options for every level.
In addition to riding lessons, Noverton Farm also offers the opportunity to stay on their picturesque property. The farm provides accommodations in their charming Cider Cottage, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the equestrian experience. Surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold landscape, guests can enjoy the peace and tranquilly of the countryside while having easy access to the riding facilities.
