Step Beyond Studios

Step Beyond Studios in Torbay, Auckland, has been a cornerstone of the dance community for over 25 years. Founded by Marian McDermott, the studio is known for its unique approach to teaching Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Marian chose to focus on the development of young dancers, steering clear of exams and competitions to create a supportive and nurturing environment.

The studio has seen hundreds of young dancers pass through its doors, many of whom have gone on to pursue full-time training and professional projects. This speaks volumes about the studio's ability to foster talent and inspire young dancers.

In 2022, Isabella Pasley took over as director and is dedicated to maintaining Marian's vision. Isabella continues to ensure that Step Beyond Studios is a safe and creative space where dancers of all levels can thrive.
