The RIAI Aikido Learning Centre, located in Grey Lynn, Auckland, is a self defence school and martial arts club offering classes for both children and adults. Enrollment for beginners is open at any time, and the centre offers 6 free lessons over a span of 2 weeks with no joining fee or long-term contract. After the initial two weeks, each class costs only $18. There is no need to book in advance, simply turn up to any class.
For children between the ages of 7 and 14, dedicated Aikido classes are available on Mondays from 5pm to 6pm. The classes run throughout the school term and cost $120 per term ($100 for siblings).
