The highlight of Unisport Australia's events is the UniSport Nationals, which gathers more than 6,000 participants from all corners of the nation. This national championship takes place annually on the Gold Coast (Kombumerri), Queensland, and features competitions in 31 different sports. During the event, athletes compete fiercely to secure the title of national champions in their respective sports.

As an organisation that values and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, Unisport Australia acknowledges the Kombumerri People as the traditional owners of the land on which the 2023 UniSport Nationals will be held. The club recognises and appreciates the significant contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders make to the Gold Coast community.

UniSport Nationals consist of two components: the flagship event, UniSport Nationals, and standalone national championships that take place throughout the year. Through these competitions, students have the opportunity to represent their universities and compete against top athletes from other institutions.

The winners from each sport in UniSport Nationals will be combined with the winners of the various Nationals Championships to determine the Overall Nationals Champions, representing the university that has performed exceptionally across all sporting disciplines.
