Bellarine Athletics

Bellarine Athletics is a sports club located in Geelong, Australia. Founded in 1976, our club was specifically formed to cater to athletes from the East of Geelong, including the Bellarine Peninsula. However, we now have members coming from all over the region, including as far away as Lavers Hill and Warrnambool.

During summer, our competitions take place at Landy Field in South Geelong. Typically, these competitions are held on Saturday afternoons or twilight meetings and run from October through to April.

At Bellarine Athletics, we cater to athletes of all ages and abilities. Our club fosters a fun and friendly atmosphere, welcoming members ranging from social athletes who are there for fun and fitness, to elite athletes. Our primary objectives are to improve the experience, enjoyment, and success of our members, as well as encourage track and field participation for individuals of all abilities.

We believe that athletics is an enjoyable and rewarding activity that builds essential motor skills applicable to various sports. Athletes do not have to be outstanding or elite, as everyone can improve their abilities regardless of their initial level. Friendly competition against oneself and others not only enhances athletic ability, but also develops valuable life skills.

Bellarine Athletics is actively involved in the Athletics Victoria Shield (AVSL) summer track and field season, which takes place at Landy Field South Geelong. In order to compete for our club, an Athletics Victoria (AV) membership and Summer package must be purchased. Alternatively, individuals who wish to try out can pre-enter online as a trialling participant for one round. We warmly welcome new members of all ages and abilities, offering competition age groups for both male and female athletes, including U14, U16, U18, U20, Open, and Veterans.
