Townsville North Star Athletics Club

Townsville North Star Athletics Club (TNSAC) is the premier track and field club in Townsville City, established in 1962. The club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, primarily parents, who generously donate their time to ensure the club continues to benefit the wider Townsville community.

TNSAC offers an affordable and community-based active outlet for individuals of all ages and capabilities, starting from five years old. The club is affiliated with Athletics North Queensland, which allows its members to participate in Athletics Australia (AA) sanctioned events nationwide.

Membership with TNSAC provides various benefits, including personal insurance coverage, free access to all Townsville North Star Club meets in the 2023 season, registration with Athletics North Queensland as a Townsville North Star member, and an ANQ registration package. Members also have the opportunity to participate in ANQ sanctioned Carnivals and Championships during 2023 (excluding Carnival & Championship nomination costs) and can qualify to compete at State & National Championships until March 31st, 2024 (subject to meeting qualifying standards).

To join TNSAC, individuals can follow the registration process outlined on the club's website, which involves filling out a form and choosing the appropriate membership category. Members can participate in club meets every Friday night during school terms 2 and 3, with events starting at 6pm. Returning members can renew their membership through the registration system, while new members need to provide a copy of their birth certificate to the club.
